چکیده
Green mold caused by Penicillium digitatum is an important factor limiting the shelf life of mandarin fruit. In this study, effect ultraviolet-C (UV-C) irradiation on cellular structure, endogenous jasmonic acid (JA), and development P. in satsuma fruit was investigated. UV-C treatments included 0 (untreated control), 3, 10 kJ m −2 or exposure time 0, 1.18, 4.52 min, respectively. The dose significantly reduced both vitro vivo , resulting maintenance structure albedo tissue. production malondialdehyde (MDA) decreased upon treatment . concentration JA increased compared to 3 control. total phenolic flavonoid concentrations DPPH radical scavenging capacity. These results suggest that at has a potential control green maintain stimulate accumulation JA, induce biochemical compounds mandarin.

Ethylene Production by Albedo Tissue of Satsuma Mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.) Fruit.
Isolated albedo tissue of Satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marcovitch, cv. Owari) fruit produced a large quantity of ethylene during incubation at 26 C in the dark. When sliced, albedo tissue began producing ethylene at an increasing rate until a maximum was reached after incubation for about 30 hours. Aged albedo discs which were capable of producing ethylene, actively converted l-[U-(14)C]meth...
متن کاملTranscriptome and Metabolome Analyses Provide Insights into the Occurrence of Peel Roughing Disorder on Satsuma Mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.) Fruit
Roughing disorder (RD) is a significant quality barrier in citrus fruit, prevalent on easy-peeling mandarins. As RD is not yet well-understood, this study aimed to examine the changes and synergic molecular processes involved in peel RD. Peel with RD was induced by severely defruiting Satsuma mandarin trees. Morphology observations, RNA-sequencing, and targeted and untargeted metabolic analyses...
متن کاملThe effect of rootstocks on sugars, acids, carotenoids, chlorophylls, and ethylene of Satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu)
This study aimed to evaluate the effect of rootstocks on fruit sugars, organic acids, and carotenoids. The contents of sugars and organic acids in fruits were determined by HPLC. Total acidity (TA), total soluble solids (TSS), and pH value of the juice were also evaluated. Total carotenoids and chlorophylls contents were measured using a spectrophotometer. The content of ethylene in fruits was ...
متن کاملParental diagnosis of satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.) revealed by nuclear and cytoplasmic markers
Satsuma mandarins (Citrus unshiu Marc.) are the predominant cultivated citrus variety in Japan. Clarification of its origin would prove valuable for citrus taxonomy and mandarin breeding programs; however, current information is limited. We applied genome-wide genotyping using a 384 citrus single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) array and MARCO computer software to investigate the satsuma mandarin...
متن کاملIdentification of Satsuma Mandarin (Citrus unshiu) Cultivars in California Using Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism (AFLP) Markers
Satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu) is one of the most important types of citrus grown world-wide, especially in China and Japan. It is also produced in California from mid-October to January. Several new Satsuma mandarin cultivars, originally from Japan or China, were introduced into California in the past few years. We intend to identify different Satsuma mandarin cultivars in California using A...
